As the valedictorian of the class 2018 and as RIT Croatia
delegate, I had the privilege to visit Rochester campus and represent RIT
Croatia on this year’s Rochester commencement ceremony which took place on May
11th.
When I arrived to Rochester campus, I was immediately
impressed – the campus is huge! I had a tour of the campus and I was amazed
with its size, amenities and facilities which are offered to students. My hosts were Ms. Maureen Shannon and Ms.
Donika Demiri who work at Global Village and who did their best to make my stay
enjoyable and memorable.
The commencement ceremony was a huge event where I was
accompanied by other student delegates, deans and professors. During this event
I received my diploma with other representatives of The College of Applied
Science and Technology. During my stay
in Rochester I visited Niagara Falls which is something that I wanted to do for
a long time and which amazed me. I went by one boat very close to the falls and
although I was completely wet I was happy to see the falls from that
perspective - I could almost touch the water.
This trip to Rochester was very special and one that I will
remember for my lifetime. I am grateful that my hard work and dedication
through my education at RIT Croatia were recognized and rewarded in the best
possible way - with the trip to Rochester, NY as RIT Croatia delegate. I want to thank each and every person who
participated in the organization of my trip and who made this trip a very
special one for me. I would also like to encourage other hardworking students
not to give up and always remember that their efforts might be rewarded with
this amazing trip and experience. So keep it up! J
