We are happy to announce and to invite you on our next Science and Research Seminar called "A Tangled Tale of Training and Talent: PhDs in Institutional Asset Management” and delivered by professor Zoran Ivkovich, who teaches at the Department of Finance, Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University.
The event will take place on July 13th, 10-11.30 am. We will host them on our Dubrovnik campus, and we will connect with Zagreb campus from the room 10.
About the speaker:
Zoran Ivković is a Professor in the Department of Finance at Michigan State University. He has been holding the MSU Federal Credit Union Endowed Chair in Financial Institutions and Investments since 2011. He earned a Ph.D. in Finance from Yale University in 2002. Before joining MSU in 2007, he was on the faculty at the University of Illinois.
Zoran's research interests revolve around three broad themes: asymmetric information in financial markets; individual investor behavior; and the money management industry. He has published articles in several leading finance and economics journals: The American Economic Review, The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies, and The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. In addition to being cited extensively in the academic literature, his research has also been cited in numerous media outlets such as Barron’s, Chicago Tribune, Financial Times, Forbes, New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Smart Money, Thomson Media, Wall Street Journal, and Wall Street Week with Fortune (online). Zoran has been organizing the annual MSU FCU Conference on Financial Institutions and Investments, generously sponsored by the MSU Federal Credit Union. He also serves as the President of the Education and Social Sciences Section of the Association of Croatian American Professionals.
