RIT Croatia Charity Auction: RIT CROATIA STUDENTS RAISE MORE THAN HRK 22,000
RIT Croatia students raised HRK 22,007 this year at a
traditional charity auction. The auction was held in an online environment, and
the funds raised will be donated to the SVE za NJU (All for Her) association of
women suffering from and treated for cancer

This year, which is in many ways challenging, did not discourage students
from holding a traditional charity auction and helping those in need.
This year, the students organized a
humanitarian auction in an online environment, using the AirAuctioneer platform
on which 72 items were exhibited, for which 155 employees, alumni and students
of RIT Croatia competed. A total of HRK 22,007 was raised through the
activities of a "silent" auction, raffle and live bidding through the
Zoom event. The funds are intended for the association SVE za NJU.
The humanitarian auction is one of the extracurricular activities of RIT
Croatia that started more than 20 years ago. It is organized by students every
year and always meets with a very large response from the whole community. In
order to give their contribution to the communities in which they study and
live, students and employees of RIT Croatia donate various items for which they
later compete at the auction. With great fun and atmosphere, the items are sold
during the auction for amounts significantly greater than their market value.
It is important to mention that items are also donated by organizations and
companies with which RIT Croatia cooperates, as well as its alumni.

charity auction. We thank everyone who contributed and helped raise a truly
remarkable amount that will allow us to continue implementing our programs. We
are proud of the students and faculty members. You have brightened our holidays
in these challenging times and strengthened our faith in humanity and goodness.

"Given the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to
hold the event online. The students of our two Croatian campuses organized a
very challenging, fun and interactive online project. The result exceeded all
expectations! We raised a total of 22,007 kuna and we thank everyone who
participated and supported this great initiative ", said Erika Lugarić, a
student of RIT Croatia and added: „A big thank you goes to the companies -
donors of the items we bid for, which include: Aviva Polyclinic, Bagatin Clinic,
Foreo, L'Oreal Adria, Bellabeat, Flixbus, Zmajska Pivovara, Red Bull, Direct
Booker, and many others!"
