On September 24, professor Simonetta Mossa from Italy was cordially invited by Ms. Zrinka Friganović Sain, RIT Croatia Faculty member, as a guest speaker during Beginning and Intermediate Italian classes in Dubrovnik.
Professor Mossa has more than 35 years of experience in teaching Italian and Latin language in High Schools in Italy and Switzerland. When asked what she likes most about her job, she answered: "I like to see my students not only learning something new, but also learning how to DO something new with the knowledge they have acquired.
Professor Mossa delivered a lecture on the changes in the Italian society in the 20th century in the area of communication and food entitled "Come eravamo e cosa mangiavamo”. Intermediate Italian students had an opportunity to use their Italian with a native speaker and, also, to speak about Italian culture and habits. Beginning Italian students had an opportunity to introduce themselves and practice basic vocabulary of introductions and presentations.
Senior capstone project is the crown of education at RIT Croatia for graduating students of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. Senior year students choose topics based on their own interests, which gives them the opportunity to tackle anything they find interesting and worth exploring. Creating a successful senior capstone project is a complex process which requires a lot of maturing along the way, a lot of problem solving, researching and, above all, a good and firm connection with the faculty member mentoring the whole process.
Eta Sigma Delta (ESD), an honorary society for students of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program at RIT Croatia's Dubrovnik campus, held its induction ceremony to welcome 10 new members on Thursday, April 29 at the Hotel Hilton Imperial.
After an exciting weekend in Dubrovnik, filled with interactive workshops and final presentations done by all finalists, we are happy to announce the winners of the Hospitality Star Search Contest 2022!
As part of RIT Croatia’s celebration of its 25th anniversary, the college organized a creativity competition for its students. Students were invited to produce a video, an image, or a text on the topic of celebrating 25 years of RIT Croatia.
