Final Countdown to the One SpiRIT Event!

As you already know, RIT’s campuses around the world are hosting One SpiRIT: Global Hockey Festival Saturday, October 11th, to celebrate the opening of the new Gene Polisseni Center! The festivities in Croatia will take place at East West Banje Beach in Dubrovnik, and at Pivnica Medvedgrad in Zagreb, where students will watch the broadcasting of a womens' hockey game at RIT, and participate in various interactive parts of the program.  The broadcast to RIT will begin at 7PM and finish late in the evening with the women's hockey game.

Technical support for this event in Croatia is provided by the Sedam IT company who will set up and configure awarded video-conferencing devices from the second generation of Cisco MX300G2. This event is special because it is the first time in Croatia that so many different locations will be connected using last generation, state of the art equipment, and all for the purpose of exchanging knowledge, socializing and connecting.

Both places will be connected via live high definition videoconference feed. Rich 1080p60 high-definition (HD) video and a high-end speaker system optimized for voice will encourage people to interact as naturally as if they were in the same room.
The Cisco TelePresence MX300 G2 is part of a complete collaboration ecosystem that offers high-quality, easy-to-use telepresence experiences that you have come to expect from Cisco, together with rapid global service and price-performance that make broad deployment easier and more affordable than ever.
