More than 140 graduating seniors will receive their American and Croatian diplomas from the new president of RIT, Dr.William Destler, at ACMT's 10th commencement ceremony on May 31. Dr. Destler, who is making his first visit to ACMT, will address the students, along with several visiting dignitaries from RIT.

In addition to the graduating seniors, seven graduates of the Executive Leader master's degree program will receive their diplomas and be „hooded“ in traditional academic regalia. These seven graduates, including three ACMT alumni, have finished a one-year program in Croatia designed especially for working business managers. Sophomores who are finishing RIT's 2-year program will receive the Associate of Applied Science degree.

The ceremony will include an address by senior Diana Vlai?evi?, entertainment from the traditional folklore ensemble Lin?o, student performers and a surprise creative presentation on student life at ACMT by a group of selected seniors, who identity will remain secret until the last moment.

Visiting administrators from RIT include Dr. Carol Richardson, Dean of the College of Applied Science and Technology, Dr. Andrew Moore, Dean of the graduate studies, and Dr. Jeremy Haefner, RIT's new provost. Dr. Destler, and his wife Dr. Rebecca Johnson, will spend a week's vacation in Croatia following the ceremony.

The annual graduates dinner, a formal occasion celebrating the accomplishments of graduating seniors and sophomores, will be held at Hotel Croatia. Entertainment, karaoke and transportation to a lively „after party“ at Banje beach are planned.

This year's graduation theme, „Every ending is a new beginning“, was submitted by senior Lucija Brala and selected from among several submissions.
