Mr. Don Hudspeth, the president and the dean of ACMT is elected as a member of a committee to work on proposal of creating a tax treaty between the US and Croatia.

„This is an initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb. Currently there is no tax treaty between Croatia and the US so Americans working in Croatia, and Croatians working in the US, have to pay taxes in both countries. This creates an extra cost for American companies working in Croatia, and Croatian companies working in the US, which could impede future business investment in both countries. Realistically though, it is more important for Croatia than the US. In the case of ACMT, this lack of tax treaty represents additional costs in the amount of 5% of our annual operating budget“, said Mr. Hudspeth.
