While on campus the RIT Croatia community will limit the sharing of objects, including desks, supplies, and workstations. If shared surfaces must be touched, the RIT Croatia community will either wear gloves or sanitize or wash hands before and after each contact. Hygiene and sanitation requirements from the Croatian Public Health Institute will be adhered to. These requirements include:
- Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Use hand sanitizer when not able to use soap and water
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
- Cover coughs and sneezes, and immediately wash or sanitize hands
- Avoid sharing personal items
Disinfectants will be provided in all areas to allow for additional cleaning, and should be used as indicated by the manufacturer. Cleaning protocols for desks, tabletops, lecterns, and other common high-touch surfaces shall be created and observed. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to clean their own space in classrooms, and other academic spaces, before and after use. Disinfectant dispensers are also placed in front of everyclassroom. Students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to use thembefore entering classrooms.
RIT Croatia’s facilities management will conduct deep cleanings that will include daily disinfection of all classrooms and offices, as well as the disinfection of all restrooms, common areas and common touch points on campus (e.g., elevators, door handles, hand rails, counters) at least two (2) times per day. Cleaning includes the use of a regulated disinfectant. Areas where positive cases were known to have been present shall be cleaned in accordance with guidelines set by the Croatian Public Health Institute.
Hand sanitizers will be readily available on the campuses for use by RIT Croatia community members.
