RIT Croatia's parent institution, Rochester Institute of Technology is a university with a long tradition. Located in Rochester, New York, RIT was founded in 1829. RIT is one of the largest private universities in the U.S., based on full-time undergraduate enrollment and is internationally recognized for providing innovative, career-oriented education.
With over 19,000 students from more than 100 countries, RIT is the 10th largest private university in the United States of America with more than 120,000 alumni located around the world. Its nine colleges include the College of Applied Science and Technology, Saunders College of Business, B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Kate Gleason College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences and Technology, College of Imaging Arts and Sciences, College of Liberal Art, National Technical Institute for the Deaf and College of Science. Rankings and Recognition
RIT’s quality has been recognized by respected world known organizations and media. The university is the 3rd largest producer of undergraduate STEM degrees (science, technology, engineering, and math) among all private universities in the nation. RIT is among the first universities to create a department dedicated to computing security (2012).
Rochester Institute of Technology is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and its business programs are also accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

The RIT Campus
RIT's modern 1,300-acre campus offers a dynamic and multicultural studying environment with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, modern equipment for student-based research, a comprehensive library, residence halls and apartments, and recreational facilities complete with wellness programs that meet the interests and needs of a diverse student population.
There are 250 clubs on the campus and 1,300 events held each year.
