Tiger Olympics and RIT Global Day of Service this Saturday in Zagreb!

Student Government Zagreb is organizing the TIGER OLYMPICS which will be held on Saturday, September 16th at ŠRC Trnje, Ulica Grada Vukovara 236e. Tiger Olympics will be a one-day event with sports tournaments and other fun activities! The event will take place from 10 AM until 3 PM and students will be able to participate tournaments in: basketball, soccer, volleyball, and dodgeball (or just hang out with us). More than 30 students from Dubrovnik campus will travel to Zagreb to join their colleagues in this fun event, which is a fantastic opportunity to create new connections and friendships :). Following this, students will attend the Fall BBQ.

On the same day, RIT Croatia will participate in the RIT Global Day of Service, which is a joint effort between Alumni Association and RIT's alumni chapters around the world, with the goal of bonding together and making a difference in the communities through service projects. This event is open for the entire RIT Croatia community to participate, as well as for their families and friends/dear ones.
Starting at 9AM, all volunteers visit elderly home in Trnje (Poljička ulica 12, Zagreb) where Professor Ninoslav Mimica, President of Alzheimer Croatia, will give an overview about how to prevent/notice this disease. Feel free to come in case you would like to hear insightful and helpful details.
After that, volunteers will move to Sportski center Trnje (Ulica grada Vukovara 236E, Zagreb) where, in collaboration with Ana Rukavina Foundation, volunteers will be able to register into a pool of potential donors to the Croatian Bone Marrow Donors Registry. This activity will also be part of annual student's sports games. With this good cause we want to help Ana Rukavina Foundation to build their register increasing the odds of saving lives of those who are treated for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood diseases.

We sincerely hope to see many of RIT Croatia community members showing their true Tiger SpiRIT by taking part in these worthy events.
